Easy to use, safe and effective fleece waterproofing. Delivers lasting water repellency, reduces weight gain and maintains the breathability and insulation of fleece in wet weather.

Although the individual fibres of the fleece do not absorb water, water can get into the spaces between the fibres. Water accumulation reduces the insulating properties of the fleece and also increases the weight. The increase in weight reduces the comfort of the wearer, causing a feeling of dampness and cold. A reduction in insulation is dangerous and in extreme cases can lead to hypothermia.

Nikwax treatment and impregnation products have been developed WaterBased and are non-aerosol, non-flammable, safe and environmentally friendly. They contain no hazardous solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and are completely free of fluorocarbons (which have been shown to remain in the environment for long periods of time and have been linked to serious health problems).
