Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount VIR Pro USB is a professional-grade weapon-mounted light designed for rifles, carbines, and submachine guns, combining powerful white light and infrared (IR) illumination in a single rugged housing. It is engineered for tactical and duty applications where rapid transition between visible and night vision spectrum is critical.

The light delivers up to 1,100 lumens with 40,000 candela and a beam distance of up to 400 meters. The reflector produces a concentrated beam with sufficient peripheral spill for area awareness beyond the primary target. Medium and Low modes allow effective indoor or close-quarters operation without excessive splashback or self-blinding.

The integrated 940 nm IR LED provides up to 2,300 mW in High mode and 600 mW in Low mode. The IR function is optimized for use with night vision devices and features a safety cutoff mechanism that prevents accidental visible light activation while operating in IR mode.

The VIR Pro utilizes a multi-fuel system – it operates on one rechargeable SL-B26 Li-Ion battery (USB rechargeable) or two CR123A lithium batteries. The rechargeable option provides extended runtime and reduced operating cost, while CR123A cells offer immediate field replacement capability.

The light features TEN-TAP programmable switching, allowing selection of three different White/IR operating configurations depending on mission requirements. Control is provided via the Jack-Cap tactical tail switch, offering both momentary and constant-on operation, along with a port for a remote pressure switch (momentary remote included).

The body is constructed from machined 6000 Series aircraft aluminum with Mil-Spec anodized finish. The anti-reflective coated BOROFLOAT glass lens is impact- and heat-resistant. The light is rated IPX7 waterproof (1 meter / 30 minutes) when using the standard tail switch and is extensively live-fire tested for durability.
