The Quest Prime Forces GTX is a tactical boot that combines stability and maximum damping with a lightweight design, making it an ideal companion on even the toughest missions.

Blending essential outdoor details and tactical features, the Quest Prime Forces GTX delivers lasting comfort and support in tough conditions and even tougher terrain. But enough flexibility to take a knee or sprint to position. Every component has been reinforced from the stitching to the mesh, laces and outsole.

The most important feature of a multi-functional outdoor boot is, of course, the highly technological sole construction. In addition to the anti-puncture Enigma Zero HT2 insert and anti-static technology, Salomon has also opted for a tried-and-tested combination, with the Contagrip MD outsole for sure-footed grip in mountain terrain, the 4D chassis for walking stability and the EnergyCell midsole for optimum damping and performance. Finally, an OrthoLite inlay sole ensures a comfortable fit and additional damping in the boot, while perforations in the sole support a pleasant foot climate.  

The EN designation means that the soles on these boots have been tested and certified to be slip/oil resistant, puncture-resistant (outsole), and have antistatic properties (does not apply for color Coyote).

CERTIFICATIONS:

• ISO 20347:2012 - Work Shoes without Toe Cap according to EN (does not apply for color Coyote)
• ISO NORM 2419:2012 - 2.0 mm thick leather. Thicker than typical shoe leather for increased durability (does not apply for color Coyote)
• ISO 20344:2011 - Puncture resistant sole. A layer of puncture-resistant material added to the outsole prevents sharp objects from penetrating the bottom of the shoe

Gore-Tex Membrane: A continuous layer within the upper that protects from external weather, and offers quick-drying and moisture management.

Ensuring water resistance and breathability:

• Each square inch of the membrane contains 9 billion pores.
• Each pore is 20,000 time smaller than a drop of water
• Each pore is 700 time larger than a molecule of water vapor.
