GORE-TEX

GORE-TEX is an extremely thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE).
Thanks to the GORE-TEX membrane, the jacket is waterproof and breathable.

How the GORE-TEX membrane ensures water resistance and vapor permeability:

• Each square inch of membrane contains 9 billion pores
• Each pore is 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water
• Each pore is 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor
